Low-Profile Surface-Mount Inductors for Small PCBs Print E-mail

Datatronic Distribution (Romoland, CA) offers the DR331-5 surface-mount inductor for designers of small, compact, or portable electronic equipment with limited printed circuit board (PCB) space. The inductor is 0.39" tall, and measures 0.263 × 0.220".

To protect circuits from electromagnetic interference (EMI), the inductor features an inductance range from 1.2 to 330 µH, ±20%. The DCR range is 0.08 to 15 ohms maximum, and the current rating is 2.1 to 0.13 amps. The inductor operates over a temperature range from -40 to 85°C.

The inductors are designed with materials that meet requirements for RoHS compliance. A flat-top design makes it compatible with high-speed pickand- place assembly equipment, and with high-temperature soldering in accordance with J-STD-020C. It is available with either gold wraparound or tin wraparound terminations, and is shipped on tape-and-reel with 2,000 pieces per reel.
